
Roman baths Trier, Germany - this is supposedly one of the largest bathing complexes in the Roman world. It is quite extensive. Supposedly in the mid 1800's a good portion of it was demolished by the city of Trier. We couldn't believe that it had lasted over a thousand years and than someone decided to knock part of it down to put up a building!

They did actually build stuff. You can't see it in the picture. It is on the other side.
